Meet The Founders
Hey there! We're Ben and Devyn, and we're so glad you're here!
We founded Sanctuary in 2026 as newlyweds with a shared dream: to create something that would help believers wear their faith with boldness and spark conversations that matter. Every piece we design is crafted with prayer and purpose—an invitation to carry the gospel into everyday moments and share the immense, transforming love of God.
We design and handcraft every Sanctuary piece from our home in La Crosse, Wisconsin. What started as a passion project has become a mission we wake up excited about: equipping fellow believers to be bold witnesses in a world that desperately needs Jesus.
We believe that faith isn't meant to be quiet or hidden. It's meant to be lived out loud, in the checkout line, at the coffee shop, in the places where life happens. That's why Sanctuary exists—to give you something beautiful to wear that opens doors for kingdom conversations and reminds you (and those around you) of the hope we have in Jesus.
When you wear Sanctuary, you're joining a community of people who aren't afraid to stand out, start conversations, and point others to the cross. If you're ready to boldly proclaim your faith and be part of something bigger, you're in exactly the right place.
Let's make our lives a sanctuary for His presence—and a beacon for others to find Him too.
Our Mission
You are more than flesh and bone—you are a sanctuary. Through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and the gift of the Holy Spirit, God chose to dwell not in buildings, but in you. Sanctuary apparel is a reminder to honor the sacred space you carry, to walk worthy of the presence within you, and to live set apart for His glory. Wear it as a declaration. Walk as His temple.
How Our Items Are Made
Everything you see in the Sanctuary shop is made right here in our home in La Crosse, Wisconsin. We hand-print each item in small batches on our own press — no factories, no mass production, no outsourcing.
Each item is prayed over and made with intention. We believe that what we create should carry more than just a design — it should carry meaning. That's why we take our time, keep our batches small, and pour our hearts into every single piece.
When you wear or display a Sanctuary item, know that it was made with care, crafted with purpose, and lifted in prayer.
The Sanctuary Redefined
In the Old Testament, the sanctuary was a physical place—first the Tabernacle, then the Temple—where God's presence dwelt among His people. It was a sacred space set apart, where heaven met earth through sacrificial worship.
But through Christ's ultimate sacrifice, everything changed. We became the sanctuary.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 declares: "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."
Jesus didn't just make a way for us to visit God's presence—He made us His dwelling place. When Christ ascended, He sent the Holy Spirit to live within every believer. We are no longer seeking a sanctuary; we are carrying one. The sacred ground is now our hearts, consecrated by His blood and inhabited by His Spirit.
Ephesians 2:21-22 affirms this: "In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
We are living, breathing sanctuaries—set apart, made holy, and filled with the presence of the Most High God.
